WHAT: Join Save The Bay and the Town of Barrington for the the second phase of our Walker Farm coastal planting project along the shoreline of Hundred Acre Cove! The planting is part of an ongoing effort to restore salt marsh and coastal buffer habitat. Volunteers will plant salt tolerant grasses near the boat ramp.
WHEN: Monday, May 20. Shifts are 3-5 PM and 5-6 PM. Feel free to sign up for both!
WHERE: Walker Farm, County Rd (Rt 114), Barrington, RI 02806. SEE MAP for exact location.
PREPARE FOR THE PLANTING:
- Always dress for the weather in sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Boots are recommended if you have them.
- Bring your own water - we recommend a reusable bottle!
- Optional: You may want to bring your own work gloves. Save The Bay will provide shovels, trowels, and gloves if needed.
Registration notes:
- Pre-registration is required.
- Age requirements: Participants in this planting must be 16+.

Need documentation of service hours? We provide confirmation letters upon request! Just ask your cleanup leader at the end of the event.
