WHAT: After yesterday's storm, we are seeking volunteers to remove debris and sand from the Exploration Center & Aquarium. We will be there from 10am - 3pm. If you are only available for part of the time - that's fine! Just let us know in the sign-up notes.
WHERE: The Exploration Center & Aquarium, 175 Memorial Blvd, Newport, RI. Parking is now free at Easton's Beach.
WHAT TO WEAR/BRING:
- Dress for the weather in clothes you don't mind getting dirty.
- Sturdy, closed-toe shoes are required.
- Please bring your own water, and work gloves if you have them.
Registration notes:
- Pre-registration is required.
- Age requirements: Recommended for ages 13+. Ages 16+ may participate independently; Ages 13-15 may participate with a parent or guardian. See youth volunteering for more information.
Need documentation of service hours? We provide confirmation letters upon request! Just ask your leader at the end of the event.
