Come help us restore the dunes at Easton's Beach in Newport! We will be restoring dune habitat by planting American beach grass (Ammophila brevigulata). We will work from 11 am until 3 pm or whenever we are finished planting!
Volunteers will check in at the Exploration Center & Aquarium, 175 Memorial Blvd, Newport, RI.
Please dress for the weather - it is often colder and windier at the beach! You may want to bring your own reusable gloves and knee pads, if you have them. You are welcome to bring snacks or a lunch. Please bring your own reusable bottle of water to save the planet! :-)
This is a family-friendly volunteer opportunity, recommended for ages 8+. Volunteers under 16 must participate with a parent.
