WHAT: Join Save The Bay and the Town of Narragansett in a planting project to protect our shores! We will be planting salt tolerant plants at a coastal resilience project along the Narrow River at the Town's Middlebridge access site.
WHERE: Meet at 95 Middlebridge Rd., Narragansett, RI 02882.
WHEN: Friday, May 10; shifts are 1-3 pm and 3-5 pm. Feel free to sign up for both shifts!
PREPARE FOR THE PLANTING:
- Always dress for the weather in sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Boots are recommended if you have them.
- Bring your own water - we recommend a reusable bottle!
- Optional: You may want to bring your own work gloves. Save The Bay will provide shovels, trowels, and gloves if needed.
Registration notes:
- Pre-registration is required.
- Age requirements: Must be age 16+.
- Participants must be comfortable with outdoor work and able to lift 25 pounds.
- If the planting is full, join the waitlist! Spaces often open up.
Need documentation of service hours? We provide confirmation letters upon request! Just ask your cleanup leader at the end of the event.
