WHAT: Join Save The Bay and the Town of Tiverton in planting beach grass at Fogland Beach to restore the dunes that were damaged during the three storms this past December and January. This project is part of a larger coastal resilience project to increase the resilience of the area, manage stormwater, and restore salt marsh habitat.
WHEN: Thursday, April 11, 2023. Shifts are from 10 AM-12 PM, 12:30-3 PM and 3-5 PM. Rain date April 12.
WHERE: Fogland Beach, Tiverton, RI. Located off Fogland Road/Three Rod Way. See map for exact location.
PREPARE FOR THE PLANTING:
- Always dress for the weather in sturdy, closed-toe shoes.
- Bring your own water - we recommend a reusable bottle!
- Optional: You may want to bring your own work gloves.
Registration notes:
- Pre-registration is required.
- Age requirements: Participants in dune grass planting must be 16+.

- If the planting is full, join the waitlist! Spaces often open up.
