WHAT: Help Save The Bay plant beach grasses and restore dunes at Fogland Point in Tiverton!
WHERE: Fogland Beach, 12 Point View Dr, Tiverton, RI 02878. The meeting site will be along the beach BEFORE you get to this address - see map for exact beach location. This project is best for ages 16+.
WHAT TO WEAR
- Dress for the weather in clothes you don't mind getting dirty or sandy.
- Wear closed toe shoes.
WHAT TO BRING
- A bottle of water (we recommend reusable!) and any snacks/lunch you might want.
- Please bring your own work gloves if you have them.
- If you have a trowel, knee pads, or kneeling pads you may want to bring those too.
Registration notes:
- Pre-registration is required.
- Age requirements: Recommended for ages 16+. Younger children may volunteer only if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Need documentation of service hours? We provide confirmation letters upon request! Just ask your cleanup leader at the end of the event.
COVID-19 GUIDELINES: All volunteers must follow current state and CDC guidelines for controlling the spread of COVID-19, including:
- Do not attend any volunteer event if you have symptoms of COVID-19.
- Do not attend any volunteer event if you are required to quarantine or isolate due to a positive COVID-19 test or recent exposure.
- If you are required to observe covid precautions such as wearing a high-quality mask around others (due to recent exposure or when recovering from COVID-19), you must do so at our volunteer events, even if they are outdoors.
