WHAT: Join the International Coastal Cleanup with Save The Bay and Friends of Gorton Pond! Shoreline trash is ugly and dangerous to wildlife, and shoreline cleanups are a great way for volunteers to make a difference. We will divide into small teams to pick up trash and record what we find. The data will be included in the Ocean Conservancy's annual report on marine debris.

WHERE: Gorton Pond Fishing Dock, 57 Veterans Memorial Dr, Warwick, RI 02886. Parking is limited, please carpool or take alternate transportation if possible.

If you use another system, just ignore any directions to turn from Allens Ave onto Ernest St, and continue along Allens until you get to Harborside Blvd. See map for exact location.

Volunteer: International Coastal Cleanup - Patience Island 10/2

WHAT: Join Save The Bay and NBNERR for the International Coastal Cleanup and clean up accumulated trash on Patience Island! Save The Bay's newest vessel, Rosemary Quinn, can be landed directly on beaches. This enables us to clean Bay islands that cannot otherwise be accessed, and transport the trash for disposal. We will divide into small teams to pick up trash and record what we find. The data will be included in the Ocean Conservancy's annual report on marine debris. Participants must be 18+, must each sign up individually, and must be comfortable stepping out into shallow water - see PREPARE below.    

WHERE: Meet at 8:30 AM at Allens Harbor, 24 Bruce Boyer Rd, North Kingstown, RI 02852. We will depart for Patience Island promptly at 9 AM.

WHAT: Join the International Coastal Cleanup with Save The Bay! Shoreline trash is ugly and dangerous to wildlife, and shoreline cleanups are a great way for volunteers to make a difference. We will divide into small teams to pick up trash and record what we find. The data will be included in the Ocean Conservancy's annual report on marine debris.

WHERE: Scalloptown Park, East Greenwich. Use 115 Rocky Hollow Rd, East Greenwich, RI 02818 as an approximate address for GPS and continue along until you get to the park at the end of the road. Keep an eye out for Save The Bay signs as you approach! NOTE: We will also be holding a cleanup at East Greenwich Boat Launch at the same time! WHERE: 100 Save The Bay Drive, Providence, RI. The entrance to Save The Bay is through the Johnson & Wales Harborside Campus, via the main entrance at Harborside Blvd. Waze works best to get you here! Google Maps and other systems may take you down a gated road (Shipyard St) that you cannot access without a key card. If you use another system, just ignore any directions to turn from Allens Ave onto Ernest St, and continue along Allens until you get to Harborside Blvd. See map for exact location.

WHAT: Join the International Coastal Cleanup with Save The Bay! Shoreline trash is ugly and dangerous to wildlife, and shoreline cleanups are a great way for volunteers to make a difference. We will divide into small teams to pick up trash and record what we find. The data will be included in the Ocean Conservancy's annual report on marine debris.

WHERE: 100 Save The Bay Drive, Providence, RI. The entrance to Save The Bay is through the Johnson & Wales Harborside Campus, via the main entrance at Harborside Blvd. Waze works best to get you here! Google Maps and other systems may take you down a gated road (Shipyard St) that you cannot access without a key card. If you use another system, just ignore any directions to turn from Allens Ave onto Ernest St, and continue along Allens until you get to Harborside Blvd. See map for exact location.

You can use 144 Anthony Rd, Portsmouth, RI as an approximate address for GPS; that is the Roger Williams University Baypoint Conference Center. The trailhead is halfway between the conference center and Boyd's Lane, on the opposite side of the road as the conference center. Keep an eye out for Save The Bay signs. Parking is very limited, please carpool if possible!
