APPLY HERE At Save The Bay’s Hamilton Family Aquarium, our front desk volunteers welcome guests; process admission, membership, and gift shop sales; and restock and organize the gift shop. Check out our volunteer manual for an overview! Time Commitment: 1 half-day shift per week for a period of 4 months. Multiple or full-day shifts are welcome. Role & Responsibilities Complete all sales transactions on our card-only admission terminalPromote Save The Bay membershipsAnswer the phoneRestock and organize the gift shop and literature rack as needed throughout the dayKeep the front desk area clean/organizedEngage with guests entering/exiting the aquarium and answer any questionsEncourage people to fill out the feedback surveyRequirements Able to engage with guests in a professional mannerWilling to learn or has experience with point of sale systemsPrompt arrival for shifts in uniform provided by Save The BayUndergo a criminal background checkAble to follow communication procedures and promptly answer inquiries via phone or emailShift Times Cohorts run from February-May, June-September, and October-January. We can accommodate semester length schedules for students.
